Fall sports came to end, but that did not signal the start of the off season for our Sebring athletes. Did you know that football and track hold workouts in conjunction with each other? What does that mean to me? First, Sebring is very fortunate to have Coach Dalton as it’s strength and conditioning coach, so please don’t throw away the opportunity to work with him. He has weight room sessions four days a week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at 4:00pm and Saturday at 1:00pm. You will get an all around great strength and core workout.
Second, Coach Kyle, the Head Track Coach, has workouts on Monday and Wednesdays at 5:30pm using plyometrics, bands and reactive cords to improve speed and vertical. Starting in 2021, workouts will be Monday and Thursdays at 5:30pm and Saturdays at 10:00am. Between the two workouts the athletes are not only getting stronger and faster, but they are becoming more resistant to injury. If you put in the work now, you will see the results on the track, on the court or on the field. These athletes have made a commitment to themselves, their teammates and to changing the culture.
